Movie: Iron Man (2008)"Tony Stark is the complete playboy who also happens to be an engineering genius. While in Afghanistan demonstrating a new missile he's captured and wounded. His captors want him to assemble a missile for them but instead he creates an armored suit and a means to prevent his death from the shrapnel left in his chest by the attack. He uses the armored suit to escape. Back in the U.S. he announces his company will cease making weapons and he begins work on an updated armored suit only to find that Obadiah Stane, his second in command at Stark industries has been selling Stark weapons to the insurgents. This is a tribute to Edwin Jarvis, Tony Stark's butler. He was changed to an artificial intelligence to avoid comparisons to Batman (1989)'s butler Alfred Pennyworth.Goofs: Factual errors: In the beginning sequence when Tony Stark is in Afghanistan riding in a HMMWV without armor protection with several US Air Force Airmen. An up ard HMMWV's doors have very thick armor and glass. You can tell by looking at the blast holes in the side of the vehicle this is not an ard variant of the HMMWV. This is almost impossible. Months after the US military attacked Afghanistan a General Order was made that prohibited non up-ard HMMWV's from leaving any base camps. Certainly, if Tony Stark was traveling with the US military he would have been afforded the highest level of security.
